In the semifinal against Jan Minar the
result was not that good, Fred lost 6-0 6-4. He seemed to be turning it around when he broke Minar, while Minar was serving
for the match, but Fred got broken in his own serve game after that anyway...
No doubles matches for Fred during this

Dutch tennis league
First league
Fred is playing for dutch team Intervaluta
Hilverheide, based in Hilversum, at the same tennis park where the challenger tournament of Hilversum is played.
Fred had a busy day on the
6th of June. He played singles and doubles in the fifth round. He won both of them. The singles match was against Pondman(NED)
with 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 as the result. Fred and his partner Dennis van Scheppingen(NED) defeated De Gier/Pondman(NED)
with 7-5, 6-2 in their doubles match.
In the fourth round Fred played
doubles with Peter Wessels and they won their match with 3-2, because their opponents Behr/Silcock(ISR/AUS) got diskwalified. In
his frustration about a lost service game Behr threw his racket away and it accidently hit a woman in the audience,
who got slighty injured.
He played doubles in the first round (29 May), with John van Lottum. Unfortunately
they lost their match to Navarro/Rojer (SPA/CUR), 5-7, 2-6 , but Hilverheide is still in the lead after two
rounds.

In the first round
Fred defeated 22 year old Boris Pashanski from Serbia 7-5 6-3.
We already thought the second
round would be a lot tougher with the opponent being Vladimir Voltchkov (BLR) and unfortunately we were right. Fred lost
the match, in 3 sets, 6-2, 6-7(5), 6-2.
And apparently teaming
up with the person you lost to the week before, is the way to go for Fred. Last week he suffered a first round loss in the
doubles draw to Azzaro and his partner.
Fred and his Italian
partner are defeated by the all Italian team of Petrazzuolo and Starace, who entered the main draw with a wildcard, 6-2,
6-4.

.
The second round turned out
a lot worse, Fred was defeated by Diego Moyano(ARG) with 6-4, 7-5.
Fred also plays doubles
this week. Together with his partner Kristof Vliegen from Belgium he was first up against the all Italian team of Alvarez
and Azzaro. Unfortunately they didn't start off like we hoped they would, suffering a straight set loss in that first round:
6-3 6-2...

the final qualification round went Fraile's way 6-4 6-1.
Fred got a second chance in
Italy. John van Lottum withdrew because of a pulled back muscle. Fred replaces him as the lucky loser.
